Ampersand is The Department of Art & Archaeology’s annual report. It provides a snapshot of the department’s activities and accomplishments over the previous year. We invite you to submit highlights and images of professional work, promotions, collaborations, publications, events, and travel.

Ampersand Annual Report Submission Form

This form is for current A&A faculty, lecturers, visitors, emeriti, current graduate students, and current undergraduate juniors & seniors. You will receive an email confirmation. Please adhere to the guidelines for word counts and image sizes.

  • You will receive a confirmation email of this news submission. Email addresses will not be published.
  • Word count targets: Please aim for 400 words. You might have to use Cmd V (mac) or Ctrl V (PC) to paste in content.
  • You may upload up to three images. We may only use one and it will be the one that works best in the layout. Images should be at least 1MB if possible, and no more than 5MB. JPG or TIF are the preferred file formats, but we can deal with PDF if need be. Captions should answer who, what, where, and when and should be clear and concise as there is limited spacing.
  • Your image should be high resolution, between 1MB and 5MB in file size.
    Accepted file types: pdf, jpg, tif, jpeg, gif, png, Max. file size: 5 MB.
  • The caption should follow the same rules as if you were publishing this image in a book. Be sure to distinguish and name people in pictures (example: L to R, Professors Peter, Paul, and Mary) as well as give credit to the photographer if known. Paintings should have dimensions and medium.
